§ 11-17. Enforcement of chapter.

The city may use the following means for enforcement of this chapter:
(1)

If a person begins or continues to engage in business under this chapter without payment of the required tax, the city finance director may use the following methods to collect the unpaid tax:

a.

The remedy of levy, garnishment or attachment in accordance with G.S. 160A-207.

(2)

If a business is determined to be operating without a license, and is continuing to do so, the city may seek an injunction to close the business or cause the business to cease operation until the required tax is paid.
