§ 13-341. Reserved handicapped parking.

  • (a)

    Pursuant to the provisions of section 13-96, the following spaces shall be designated as handicapped parking spaces:

    (1)

    Those two (2) spaces nearest East Innes Street in the city lot on the 100 block of East Innes Street.

    (2)

    That one (1) space of Lake Drive, on the north side, between Fulton Street and Jackson Street, 140 feet from Fulton Street.

    (3)

    That one (1) space one hundred twelve (112) feet from the intersection of Mahaley Avenue and Park Road, West.

    (4)

    Those two (2) spaces so marked in the Central Salisbury Courtyard parking lot in the one hundred (100) block of North Church Street.

    (5)

    Those two (2) spaces so marked in the public parking lot in the one hundred (100) block of Depot Street.

    (6)

    Those two (2) spaces so marked in the public parking lot bounded by Depot, Liberty, and Lee Streets.

    (7)

    Those three (3) spaces so marked on the west side of the two hundred (200) block of North Main Street.

    (8)

    That one (1) space so marked on the east side of North Main Street, thirty (30) feet from the intersection of Innes Street.

    (9)

    That one (1) space so marked on the west side of North Main Street, thirty (30) feet from the intersection of Innes Street.

    (10)

    That one (1) space so marked on the east side of South Main Street, thirty (30) feet from the intersection of Innes Street.

    (11)

    That one (1) space so marked on the west side of South Main Street, thirty (30) feet from the intersection of Innes Street.

    (12)

    Those two (2) spaces so marked on the west side of the 500 block of North Main Street, closest to West Cemetery Street

    (13)

    Those two (2) spaces so marked on the west side of the 400 block of North Main Street, closest to West Cemetery Street

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any vehicle in a parking space designated for handicapped or visually impaired persons when the vehicle does not display the distinguishing license plate or placard as provided in G.S. 20-37.6. The penalty for violation of this section shall be a fine in the amount of one hundred dollars ($100.00).
