§ 20-81. Generally.

Pursuant to and subject to the provisions of G.S. ch. 160A, art. 13 (G.S. 160A-281 et seq.), the chief of police of the city is authorized to establish and maintain a volunteer organization of auxiliary policemen to be designated as the city police reserve, whose members, when called upon for active duty, shall be clothed with all the power and charged with all the duties of regular members of the police department of the city.
