§ 20-121. Purpose.

(a)

The purpose of this article is to encourage alarm users to properly use and maintain the operational effectiveness and proper utilization of alarm systems and to reduce or eliminate false alarms which may unduly divert police and fire units from providing necessary services.

(b)

This article governs systems intended to summon police and/or fire response, and requires registration, establishes a system of administration, and provides for penalties and violations.
