§ 21-52. Deposit on street, sidewalk or other public place.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit, throw, sweep, dump or place in any manner, or allow to be placed, any glass, tacks, fruit peelings, hulls, dirt, rubbish, garbage or other matter upon any street or sidewalk, provided this shall not apply to building materials used in repair or construction work as it is taking place.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person to throw or deposit litter in or upon any street, sidewalk or other public place within the city except in public receptacles, or in authorized private receptacles for collection.

(c)

Persons violating sections (a) and (b) shall be prosecuted for a misdemeanor.
