§ 22-77. Paving materials for residential driveways.

  • All entrances to residential driveways constructed shall be paved with portland cement concrete for a distance of not less than twenty-four (24) inches from the back of vertical curb. If no paved sidewalk parallels the property line, the remainder of the distance to the property line may be paved with either bituminous concrete, portland cement concrete or crushed gravel. The foregoing requirement is subject to the provision that residential driveways from streets that do not have vertical curbs and do not have paved sidewalks shall be constructed of crushed gravel or bituminous or portland cement concrete from the traveled portion of the street to the property line.
