§ 25-138. Right of entry.

Authorization:

(1)

Any authorized representative of Salisbury-Rowan Utilities shall have the right to enter any building, structure or premises during normal business hours or during an emergency to perform any duty imposed upon him/her by this article and in accordance with chapter 2 Powers and Duties of the North Carolina State Administration and Enforcement Requirements Code. Those duties may include sampling and testing of water, or inspection and observation of all piping systems connected to the public water supply. Refusal to allow these representatives to enter for these purposes shall result in the disconnection of water service.

Upon request, the consumer shall furnish to SRU, any pertinent information regarding the public or private water system, irrigation system, or service connection on such property where cross-connection and backflow are deemed possible.
