§ 2-1. Tenure of members of boards and commissions.

  • Appointees to the city recreation advisory board, the city zoning board of adjustment, the city planning board, the human relations council, the housing authority of the city, the historic district commission, the community appearance commission, the economic development commission, the city tree board, the Hurley Park advisory committee, the transportation advisory board and the tourism development authority shall serve a maximum of two (2) successive full terms in office unless the city council, by a majority vote of all the members of the council not excused from voting, determines that it is in the best interest of the city to extend the number of terms of an appointee.
