§ 7-25. Storm drainage plans.

  • (a)

    It shall be a requirement and condition precedent to the issuance of a building permit that plans for an adequate storm drainage system for the property which is the subject of the requested building permit be submitted to the city. An adequate storm drainage system is one which meets the standards of the engineering department of the city. Compliance with the plan shall be a requirement of the building permit and will be essential to its continued force, effect and validity.

    (b)

    If a storm sewer or storm drain exists adjacent to or on a street adjacent to the property which is the subject of the requested building permit, the owner shall provide for connecting his storm drainage system to the storm sewer or drain.
