§ 9-49. Appeals.

  • Whenever the fire marshal shall disapprove an application or refuse to grant a license or permit applied for, or when it is claimed that the provisions of the fire prevention code adopted by the provisions of this article do not apply or that the true intent and meaning of the fire prevention code have been misconstrued or wrongly interpreted, the applicant may appeal to the chief of the fire department and subsequently to the city manager. Appeals from the decision of the city manager shall be made to the city council within thirty (30) days from the date of the decision from which the appeal is taken.
