§ 20-87. Executive officers.

  • The reserve police organization shall vote among its members and select three (3) nominees for each of the following offices: director, assistant director and secretary/treasurer. The chief of police shall select from among the nominees for each office and shall appoint the person deemed most qualified to each office. Such appointees shall hold office at the pleasure of the appointing authority for a period of two (2) years. Principal officers of the organization shall thereafter be selected biennially in the same manner.
