§ 25-108. Construction in primary and secondary growth areas.

  • (a)

    All extensions of water or sewer mains constructed inside the primary and secondary growth areas as delineated on the Salisbury 2000 land development plan growth strategy map shall be constructed under written agreements between the city and the person requesting such extension. Such agreements shall be approved by the city council.

    (b)

    The city may, at its discretion, based on availability of funds, participate in up to fifty (50) percent of the total cost of extending water and sewer lines and laterals to serve developments within the primary growth area. All water and sewer mains so extended shall be the property of the city.

    (c)

    Approved residential subdivisions of twenty-five (25) total units or more within the primary growth area may be eligible for up to fifty (50) percent participation in the cost of constructing water and sewer lines and laterals within dedicated street rights-of-way and easements within the subdivision.

    (d)

    The city may, at its discretion, based upon availability of funds, participate in up to twenty-five (25) percent of the total cost of extending water and sewer lines and laterals to serve developments within the secondary growth area. All water and sewer mains so extended shall be the property of the city.
