§ 7-42. Elevation of fixtures and drains.

  • If the owner of any building or structure installs any plumbing fixture, appliance or drain in or upon any floor level which is three (3) feet or less above the invert elevation of any city-owned or city-maintained sanitary sewer serving such building or structure, the city shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or resulting from sewage backing into such building or structure or fixture and the owner shall be deemed to have released the city from any claims for such damage.
