§ 4-53. Ineligible persons.

  • No permit required by the provisions of this division shall be issued to any of the following:

    (1)

    Any person who has been convicted of a felony.

    (2)

    Any partnership of which a member has been convicted of a felony.

    (3)

    Any person who shall have been convicted of a second offense against the provisions of this article within the last five (5) years preceding the filing of the application.

    (4)

    Any partnership of which a member has been convicted as provided in subsection (1) of this section.

    (5)

    Any person who is not a citizen of this state, except in the case of a corporation, in which case the manager must be a qualified elector of the state.

    (6)

    Any person who is of immoral character, or who is an excessive user of intoxicating liquors or is addicted to narcotic drugs.

    (7)

    Any partnership of which a member is of immoral character, or an excessive user of intoxicating liquors, or is addicted to narcotic drugs.

    (8)

    Any corporation of which any officer or director has been convicted of a second offense against the provisions of this chapter within five (5) years preceding the filing of the application.

    (9)

    Any corporation of which any officer or director has been convicted of a felony, or is of immoral character, or is an excessive user of intoxicating liquors or is addicted to narcotic drugs.
